Swedish fashion retailer Lindex stepped up its international expansion in October 2026, opening a new store in Aarhus, Denmark, and signing an online partnership with UK retailer Very. The two announcements, on October 16 and October 28, show the company growing through both its own stores and third-party platforms.

Third Danish store on Strøget

Lindex opened its third store in Denmark on October 16, in central Aarhus. The store is on the Strøget shopping street and covers about 900 square metres across two floors. It carries the company’s lingerie, kidswear and womenswear ranges. A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the opening, with special offers and in-store activities planned for Friday and Saturday.

Lindex already operates stores at Rødovre Centrum outside Copenhagen and Rosengårdscentret in Odense. Its full assortment is also sold online at lindex.dk.

Caroline Öhgren, Chief Commercial Officer at Lindex, said the company had received a strong response in Denmark and called Aarhus, with its standing in retail and design, “a natural next location for us”.

UK partnership with Very

Twelve days later, on October 28, Lindex announced a partnership with Very, the online retailer operated by The Very Group. The collaboration launches with 150 lines across womenswear and kidswear, widening access to Lindex products for UK shoppers.

Öhgren said “The UK is an important market for Lindex with great potential”. She added that the tie-up would help introduce Scandinavian design to more customers.

Victoria Nelson, trading director at The Very Group, said Very was pleased to add the brand to its range. She pointed to Lindex’s Swedish heritage, which shows in designs from everyday wardrobe basics to seasonal trend pieces.

Very serves more than 4 million customers across the UK and Ireland each year. Its parent, The Very Group, reports annual revenue above £2 billion and says it sells around 2,000 labels through its Very and Littlewoods retail brands, alongside flexible payment options through its Very Pay platform.

Lindex described the deal as part of a wider strategy of reaching new customers through external partners. It said such collaborations give access to new markets and raise brand awareness. The company describes itself as one of Europe’s leading fashion companies, with about 430 stores in 17 markets and online sales worldwide through third-party partnerships. It is a fully owned subsidiary of Lindex Group plc.
